Sem break wheeee

Hi all!

So, April has been a pretty hectic month I must say. First two weeks were practically filled with assignment due dates and presentations then final papers to sit for afterwards which stretched across two weeks. This also means my semester break just started woohooo!

Amidst my study break I received an email from my uni regarding Flinders joint degree that my uni partnered with. It is an Australian honors degree and it opens up my options for postgrad studies to Oz and the states. After lotsa contemplation and consultation, I had finally decided to take up the program, also realizing that I had to start my first semester of my third year all over again in May since the subjects weren't credited. I sat for my final papers anyway. I have been so nervous about this sudden change because I'd thought I'd finally be done with studies in December. Guess I'd have another two years to go! People around me though seemed to be more confident in my decision than I am. That gave me more assurance which was what I really needed especially deciding on something as major as this. Thanks guys!

I have been deprived of having a social life after what seems like ages since I've attended parties and really loosen up and enjoy myself without having the stress from studies bugging me at the back of my mind. Look how have 2nd and 3rd year changed me. Sigh. I used to be so stress-free and laid back haha but I'm glad I'm doing so much more with my life now.

The first party which I'd attended after finals was Jane's 21st birthday party held at Grand Kingdom Restaurant @ Tropicana City Mall. Her parents had bought 3 tables and had them arranged in one big room and they had her photo presented on the large screen at the centre of the room. Her dad also gave a speech and a presentation on Jane's growth from when she was a baby until the pretty lady she had grown into today. The presentation was filled with photos and unforgettable memories, many of which she wasn't expecting any of her friends to ever see. ;p

Many pictures were taken on that night but I'll just post a few here. (:

Color of the photo ain't pretty. :/ oh wells.

So glad to finally meet my college friends again!

Birthday girl in red and friends in black and white. Totally unplanned!

Birthday girl requested for a gwiyomi pose lol is this even how you spell it?

Tiffany and co cake!

The fabulous birthday girl and her fabulous cake. The cake was baked by one of her friend's sister I think? So talented!

Last night I attended another 21st birthday party. My first time attending a Disney themed party! Genius idea, Erina! Some people went all out, some didn't. There were two Snow Whites and two Pocahontas' in the house. Guess which Disney princess I chose to go as?

This should give you a clue? Hint: NOT TIGGER!

Guess who's back?!

Wow. The last time I've written a blog entry was back in 2011. It's crazy how time flies especially when there are more and more responsibilities as one ages. Speaking of aging, my memory has got a lot catching up to do. I've finally decided to put them down in words again like how I did back then. It's not going to be easy to hold another commitment like this and I'm not too sure if this decision was impulsive, but I know starting a blog again would definitely be beneficial in the long run. Just like every other aspect in my life currently, determination and good time management are well needed in accomplishing all that I have on my plate, including this blog that is so dear to my heart. Thus, I shall embrace this new season in my life and hopefully be able to read my entries one day and see how much I've grown.

Today was a longgggg day!

Went to check out the career fair in uni today and there was this booth which was calling out to me! Couldn't resist myself to take a closer look when I saw 'Work & Travel USA' written on the banner.

Do you wanna work for 2-4 months and earn USD?
Do you wanna work in famous attractions?
Do you wanna have an additional 30 days to travel in USA after you're done working?
Do you wanna meet new friends from all around the world?
Do you wanna experience a new culture?
Do you wanna gain valuable experiences and boost your future resume?
Do you wanna get unforgettable memories?

YES! YES! YES! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

The next intake would be in May for the summer program. And obviously I won't be able to go for it this year since it's my final year in uni (hopefully, if I don't decide to extend a semester). Though, I heard the program to New Zealand by another company is pretty exhilarating as well. Shall check it out! Oh yeah, the two companies that offered these programs were Speedwing and Out of the Box. Maybe, just maybe, 2014 would be that much more exciting if and when I decide on this haha.

After the career fair, Joyce and I decided to have lunch at Canoodling, Bangsar Village. She's been recommending this restaurant for a long time and we finally had a day off when we were both free to just hang out. We went up and down the escalator, confused by the location of the restaurant because it was nowhere to be found, only to realize after that it was gone! Oh well. We settled with Chawan for nasi lemak with beef rendang instead. Don't know if the dish was that great or we were just too hungry that we could've eaten a cow.

Dropped by CzipLee later on to spend our book vouchers! I find it so troublesome and annoying that Popular and some other bookstores had set a certain percentage rule of stationery and books purchases. It requires so much brain power to keep on track with the ratio of stationery and books you're buying! CzipLee only requires you to purchase at least 10% of books and the rest is pretty free and easy. They have plenty of pretty stationeries  there! I've gotten myself some pens, a sketch book, Cleo mag, an SPM revision book for my sister and a file worth rm50 in total.

The novel Love Songs was purchased the day before at Popular's because I was desperate to get A4 papers so I had topped it up to rm50 with that purchase.

RM150 worth of vouchers more to spend! Yay!

Stopped by F Block before calling it a day with Joyce. We found some pretty cute outfits there! In need of my long delayed retail therapy!

Headed off for dance class afterwards. Combined a little bit of pole dance into our street jazz routine today. Haha. Fun fun!

Til next time!
